Virgin already had an extensive selection of 35 owned media touch-points that could be utilised by partner brands for advertising. Sonder changed the way they took these assets to other advertisers by transforming their audience approach.
Virgin were able to go from saying “we have 20 million travellers, would you like to reach them?” to a more advertiser-centric approach of “we have xxx of your customers, or intenders, and here’s how you connect with them”.
